Intro. to Data Analytics

In this Big Data age, it is imperative you have the skills necessary to analyze, interpret, and present large quantities of data. This intro course to data analytics will teach you these essential skills including statistical techniques to analyze your data and how to visually present that data to others.

You can improve the client service experience via data analytics!

Following this fascinating presentation attendees are invited to travel down the road a short distance to Maine Beer Company, for a "pour or two"!


1) Introduce you to the concepts of Big Data and Data Analytics 
2) Learn introductory statistical techniques (descriptive statistics, histograms, standard deviation, correlation, simple regression) to analyze and interpret your data 
3) Learn to apply the statistical techniques to real-world problems and datasets
4) Introduce you to data visualization techniques and business intelligence tools including dashboards and Microsoft Power BI
5) Teach you next steps in your data analytics journey
and inquiries.

Coughran, Nate Mr.

Nate Coughran
Nate Coughran, along with his wife Maryn, is the co-founder of Wisdify, a provider of online courses that teaches today’s most in-demand skills. Wisdify currently focuses on giving accounting and finance professionals key skills in data analytics, financial modeling, Excel, and important soft skills. Prior to Wisdify, Nate and Maryn co-founded a Microsoft Excel training and consulting company that worked with 60+ companies including multiple Fortune 500 companies. Before his entrepreneurial days, Nate worked for two publicly traded real estate investment companies in the acquisitions group. He started his career at Ernst & Young in the audit group.

Nate graduated with a dual MS in Finance and Accounting from Boston College and a BS in Business Finance from BYU-Idaho. He is also a CPA with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
